Rubber Gasket

A gasket is a mechanical seal that serves to fill the space between two objects in order to prevent leak between two objects while under pressure. In other words, gaskets are used to stop fluid or gas leaks by providing a barrier or a seal between two mating surfaces. The gasket must be able to maintain a seal or block under temperature and pressure changes. It is generally employed in static application while seals (such as Oring, U-seal, V-seal, Wiper Seal, Rod seal, Piston seal, Dust seal etc) are employed in dynamic application.
